Amendment to the General Instructions for Surveys of Canada Lands, e-Edition

Guidelines for the Preparation of Plans Appendix E3

Maximum Length for Survey Plans in the Province of Quebec

Pursuant to Section 36 of the Regulation respecting land registration (R.Q. C.c.Q., r.3.1), in force in the Province of Quebec, survey plans submitted in hardcopy format should not exceed 150 cm in length.

In order to facilitate the deposit of a copy of survey plans in the Quebec registry system, Paragraph 7 of Appendix E3 of the General Instructions for Surveys of Canada Lands, e-Edition is amended effective immediately as follows:

7. Unless authorized otherwise in specific survey instructions, plans, including margins, shall not exceed 60 cm in width and:

a) 300 cm in length; or

b) 150 cm in length, for official plans to be deposited in Quebec.
