Map of First Nations Land Management

Summary

Abstract The First Nations Land Management (FNLM) map is a special product by the Surveyor General Branch (SGB) and is maintained and updated by the SGB to reflect official additions to the FNLM roster by Order in Council. It displays First Nations operating under, or developing, their own land codes for operation under the First Nations Land Management Regime in relation to major features in Canada (such as provincial boundaries, major water bodies and major cities). There are two maps available in PDF format: a wall map at a scale of 1:7 500 000 and a tabloid map at a scale of 1:18 000 000. Updates to the map are reflective of the notification and information received by the Surveyor General Branch from Orders in Council and from negotiations with First Nations. As a result, the maps are updated when SGB has been notified and supplied the necessary information.

[(FRA)La carte de la gestion des terres des Premières nations (GTPN) est un produit propre à la Direction de l'arpenteur général (DAG). La carte est maintenue et mise à jour par la DAG afin de tenir compte des ajouts officiels ratifiés par décret. Elle montre les Premières nations qui opèrent, ou qui développent, leur propre code foncier pour fonctionner sous le régime de gestion des terres des premières nations relativement aux éléments majeurs au Canada (comme les limites provinciales, les étendues d’eau et les villes principales). Il y a deux cartes disponibles en format PDF : une carte murale à une échelle de 1/7 500 000 et une carte en format tabloïd à une échelle de 1/18 000 000. La DAG effectue les mises à jour de la carte en tenant compte des notifications et de l'information décrites dans les décrets et suite aux négociations avec les Premières nations. Par conséquent, les cartes sont mises à jour dès que la DAG en est informée et qu’elle reçoit l'information nécessaire.]
